Opel has already dipped its toes into the Chinese and Russian markets. It sold about 5,000 cars annually in China in the early part of the decade, but sales were limited because of high tariffs on imports. The brand was also launched in Russia with some success over a decade ago, but sales came to an end when GM pulled out of the country in 2015 following a major market downturn.
We’d also option the Electronics package ($3000) for Sync 3 infotainment, dual-zone climate control, and more. Dodge Challenger fans can have a similarly equipped 707-hp Challenger SRT Hellcat for $65,290. The Chevy Camaro crowd can find a ZL1 coupe starting at $63,795. Optional assistance features include a parking assistance, lane departure warning, a speed limit warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Driving Assistant Plus package includes adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assistance, meaning the car can accelerate, brake and steer itself within a lane at speeds of up to 87mph. The driver must have at least one hand on the steering wheel for it to work, though.
There are quick winter checks that you can do in a matter of a few minutes, such as washer fluid levels and lighting checks, but they could mean the difference between smooth winter running and a troublesome cold spell. There are bigger jobs that you can do, too, such as fitting winter tyres, but we have all these jobs covered. Below you’ll find a list of checks and recommended purchases to help you and your car enjoy a trouble-free winter on the road.
A software update introduced the Chill Mode, which can be accessed via the on-board infotainment screen. In the software update notification, it says that Chill Mode is ‘ideal for smoother driving and a gentler ride for passengers’.
