Miller often resisted the temptation to label himself and his fellow Whiz Kids as just zealous bean counters at a pivotal period in Ford history.

To understand the significance of the Cavalier Mk3, we need to go back to 1981, when the Mk2 appeared. The Sierra, which arrived a year later in 1982, failed to match the Mk2’s sales throughout its life but, in 1987, the last year of Cavalier Mk2 production, Uncle Henry’s 'fortress of the fleets' finally sneaked ahead. Up front, the diamond-quilted seats (embossed with some questionable '575' branding) come with a wide range of adjustment, and those in the rear are treated to plenty of leg room; there’s little reason to opt for the long-wheelbase variant.
Ursula felt the Arona’s £16,555 entry point will appeal. “For the price in particular I think the spec that you get makes it look really good value,” she explained. “The interior is really nice, and the technology is all there. It’s easy to use, too – I found it really easy to input destinations on the sat-nav compared with other systems I’ve used.”
“I always thought it was some help coming from a rural situation,” Miller told The New York Times in 1966. “You aren’t so perplexed about the world: Milk came from a cow, not from the grocery store. Eggs came from a chicken.”
Neither Alonso nor Toyota would confirm an impending deal. Alonso said at practice for this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix: "So far, nothing to comment. We will see. Just rumors."
