Lohscheller said Opel will enter more than 20 new markets by 2022, with Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan among countries identified as potential export markets. Opel also is exploring whether to sell cars in China and Brazil, he said.
"I sent it out and had 100 copies made," Miller recalled. "When it was finished, I went proudly in to see Mr. Ford. He looked at it and said, 'I like it. I need five more. My two brothers, my sister, my mother and my grandmother.' I didn't tell him I had 94 copies left."
What lets the little Nissan down is its 0.9-litre petrol engine, our preference remember over the 1.5 diesel and the non-turbocharged 1.0 petrol. Although at cruising speeds the engine is quiet and refined, with enough thrust to make overtaking almost effortless, there just isn't enough power at lower speeds.
With PSA platforms and engines, Opel is now is a position to benefit from PSA's global production. PSA has factories in China and South America, a joint plant with Mitsubishi in Russia, and kit assembly production in Iran. Lohscheller said Opel will be able to utilize PSA's global production network.
It isn’t the most sophisticated small SUV going and its interior feels rather cheap in places, but the Suzuki SX-4 S-Cross is still decent enough to drive and spacious enough for most families. It’s great value, too, with lots of low-mileage examples going very cheaply, and it comes with plenty of equipment. What’s more, Suzuki has a great reputation for reliability, so the SX-4 S-Cross should be dependable.
Antifreeze, as its name suggests, stops the water in the engine’s cooling system from freezing. To test the effectiveness of your antifreeze, an antifreeze tester is available for about £5. To use it, unscrew the coolant reservoir cap under the bonnet (ensuring the engine is cold first), lower the tube into the coolant and squeeze the rubber bulb on the end to suck some antifreeze inside the tester.
Those who want their very own theme-park ride can buy the Shelby GT350 for $58,045; that’s about $22,000 more than a regular Mustang GT without options. The track-focused GT350R costs an extra $7500 but adds aggressive aerodynamics, even more aggressive chassis tuning, and lightweight 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels with wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 near-race-spec tires. This stripped-down version saves weight by eliminating the back seat, air conditioning, audio system, and other equipment. The seats can be reinstalled by a dealer, and the rest can be optioned back in with the R Electronics package for $3000. While the GT350R is incredible on the racetrack, we’d prefer to drive the GT350 on a regular basis. It has standard equipment such as:
When Chevrolet started offering the 1LE performance package for the V-6 Camaro last year, our initial conclusion was that the company had indeed moved the grip-to-grunt ratio too far to the left. At the 2016 running of our Lightning Lap competition, the junior 1LE shone, smashing the lap record for its class by more than eight seconds. But on the road, it was obvious that the chassis’s ability to produce lateral g-forces wasn’t matched by the engine’s harvest of back-punching longitudinal g’s.
A difference in strategy and priorities with Miller prompted Henry Ford II in 1968 to abruptly name a new president, William "Bunkie" Knudsen, who had just been passed over for the president's post at General Motors. Miller became vice chairman of Ford -- a new post created for him -- and dean at Stanford. He left Ford's management ranks a year later but stayed on the company's board until 1986.
What the 2018 Accord brings is a next-level driving experience. This Honda interacts with its driver almost intuitively; there’s an eagerness that isn’t available in its competitors. Let’s start with the transmission.
