"I don't think you can physically do two programs. It would be complicated. Doing Le Mans or Indianapolis or Daytona, why not; it's a one-off. But more than this it is definitely a distraction from his main commitment."
The model is based on the platform of the new L200, and the pick-up roots are visible side-on and inside, with a similar ride height and door profile, plus a cabin inspired by the firm's pick-up. A large rear overhang translates into seven full-size seats and a huge boot, while the back end gets unusual stretched tail-lamps.
But are these updates enough to keep what is, in effect, an eight-year-old car competitive in an increasingly competitive market?

Considering our philosophical bias in favor of manual transmissions, the charms of the CVT are limited. So the best thing about this automatic is that you don’t have to settle for it, because there’s a stick shift available with the 1.5T in the Accord Sport model. That said, the combination of 1.5T and CVT isn’t bad.
And the Corvette is on its original 5.7-liter V8 engine, though Blackwell recently had to get the headgasket replaced at around 750,000 miles.
But McLaren sounds none too keen on him doing the whole WEC schedule. McLaren racing director Eric Boullier told the BBC: "He has said he is keen to do some races outside. There is a case-by-case discussion. His main and first focus is F1, so that has to be the priority. We do everything we can to give him a competitive car and if he has this he will not race anything else.

Our love for the new Honda Accord knows no bounds. We’ve squealed in delight about the transcendent subtlety that comes with the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four in the high-end models. Whether that’s with a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission, the 2.0-liter turbo is a critical element in a wonderful car. The thing is, if history is a guide, the majority of the Accords that Honda sells won’t have that engine.
